SOCIAL COMPLIANCE POLICY

1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE

Peca Dekor Panel Industry and Trade Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “company”) is committed to adhering to the principles of ethical business conduct, respect for human rights, and social responsibility in all its fields of activity. This Social Compliance Policy is prepared in accordance with:

  • Core Labour Standards of the ILO (International Labour Organization),
  • The current labor, social security, and human rights legislation of the Republic of Turkey.

This policy applies to all company employees, managers, temporary workers, interns, and all suppliers and business partners operating on behalf of the company.

2. LEGAL AND INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATIONS

The company conducts its social compliance practices based on the national and international legislation, standards, and contracts listed below and commits to monitoring changes in these regulations:

  • All related regulations, communiqués, and secondary legislation

3. BUSINESS ETHICS, HONESTY AND ANTI-CORRUPTION

The company operates with the principles of honesty, fairness, impartiality, and transparency in all its activities.

  • Bribery, corruption, malpractice, and conflict of interest are not tolerated in any way.
  • All employees are expected to behave in accordance with ethical rules.
  • Suppliers are also required to adhere to the same ethical standards.

4. RESPECT FOR HUMAN RIGHTS

The company adopts the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the United Nations and the conventions of the ILO as its basis.

  • Forced labor, bonded labor, and human trafficking are strictly prohibited.
  • Employees’ identity documents cannot be confiscated.
  • Employees have the right to quit.

5. CHILD LABOR AND YOUNG WORKERS

  • Child labor under 18 years old is strictly prohibited.
  • The employment of young workers is only possible in light and safe jobs, according to the legal regulation. If there is a need to employ young workers, operations are conducted according to the Regulation on the Principles and Procedures of Employment of Child and Young Workers published in the Official Gazette dated 10/6/2003 and numbered 25134.
  • The education, health, and development of young workers are protected.

6. PROHIBITION OF DISCRIMINATION AND EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES

The company does not accept discrimination in recruitment, remuneration, promotion, training, and dismissal processes.

  • No discrimination based on race, color, gender, age, religion, disability status, marital status, or similar reasons is allowed.
  • The principle of equal pay for equal work is applied.

7. RIGHT TO ORGANIZE FREELY AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING

  • Employees have the right to establish a union, join a union, and engage in collective bargaining.
  • No pressure can be applied on employees for exercising these rights.

8. WORKING CONDITIONS AND REMUNERATION

  • Working hours and overtime are conducted within legal limits.
  • Wages cannot be below the legal minimum wage and are paid on time.
  • All employees are covered by social security.

9. OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • The company prioritizes providing a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Risk analyses are carried out, and necessary training is provided.
  • Continuous improvement is ensured to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases.

10. PROHIBITION OF HARASSMENT, VIOLENCE, AND MALTREATMENT

  • Physical, psychological, verbal, or sexual harassment is strictly prohibited.
  • Disciplinary practices are carried out in a manner worthy of human dignity.

11. ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY

  • Natural resources are used efficiently, and waste is reduced.
  • Full compliance is ensured with environmental legislation.

12. SOCIAL COMPLIANCE IN THE SUPPLY CHAIN

  • Suppliers are expected to comply with this policy.
  • Where necessary, audit and improvement activities are carried out.

13. TRANSPARENCY, MONITORING AND GRIEVANCE MECHANISM

  • Social compliance performance is regularly monitored.
  • Employees and stakeholders can file complaints and reports without fear of retaliation.

14. TRAINING AND AWARENESS

  • Regular training is provided to employees on social compliance, occupational health, and safety.

15. ENFORCEMENT AND REVIEW

This policy takes effect on the date it is published and is reviewed periodically.
